Sugar Land Turkey Trot

It's Thanksgiving. Today was the annual Turkey Trot 5 miler in Sugar Creek, its 23rd year. This was my 3rd time to participate. It was very chilly, with a head wind, but the skies were blue and the sun was shining. I ran for the first minute and then decided to walk the race. I walked with a nice young woman named Evelyn who was a big Disney fan. She liked my Mickey Earmuffs and told me about her Disney Marathon last year. The time flew.Although it took me 1:18 to finish, I didn't feel like I had anything to prove this year. When the race was over, I met Stan and we delivered "Meals on Wheels" then shared a lovely Thanksgiving Dinner with family and friends.
